Introduction
Unveiled in 2012 at Baselworld, the Tudor Black Bay has quickly become one of Tudor’s best-selling collections as it takes direct inspiration from the iconic Tudor Submariner ref. 7922. Seeking to build on the aesthetics of the early Submariner models, the Black Bay family is beloved by Tudor’s collectors for its vintage-inspired design traits, like its faux-rivet bracelet, gilt inscriptions, anodized aluminum bezel insert, and large crown. Further refined in 2018, Tudor launched the Black Bay Fifty-Eight as they dove even deeper into their archives and drew inspiration from their 1958 Submariner “Big Crown” Ref. 7924. With its red arrow-featuring dive bezel, thinner profile and 2mm smaller case diameter of 39mm, the BB58, as it is called, was a more refined version of its older sibling, with the very same depth rating of 200m – a true dive watch. Receiving intensely positive reception straight away, the BB58 has quickly become Tudor’s most popular watch, with a second blue dial and bezel version launched in 2020 as we have here. Indeed, such a positive reception has even caught the eye of the Amazon Employees Watch Group, a private group of watch enthusiasts at Amazon who commission limited edition variants of watches such as this limited edition BB58. Limited to just 106 examples, each watch features Amazon’s mascot, Peccy, who is wearing a snorkel mask on the dial and caseback, along with the Amazon smile logo, and the production number out of 106.

THE DIAL
Boasting a flat blue color and silver inscriptions, the ref. 79030B's display's design is modern and yet still vintage inspired through its heavily domed sapphire crystal and snowflake hands. Of course, the Amazon Empoyees Watch Group edition's dial is customized with Amazon’s mascot, Peccy, who is wearing a snorkel mask at 6 o'clock and also appears on the caseback.
THE CONSTRUCTION
Harboring vintage design details such as its aluminum bezel insert, faux rivet bracelet and a guard-less crown, the BB58's construction is a wonderful embodiment of mid-century sports watch design.

Watch is in overall like-new condition. The case shows only light signs of wear or handling, with a few small marks from bracelet removal visible on the lugs. The bracelet is fitted with 10 links and fits approximately a 6¾” wrist. Additionally, there are 6 links included. Comes complete with box, warranty card, booklets, hangtag and bezel protector.
