Unveiled in 2012 at Baselworld, the Tudor Black Bay has quickly become one of Tudor’s best-selling collections as it takes direct inspiration from the iconic Tudor Submariner ref. 7922. Seeking to build on the aesthetics of the early Submariner models, the Black Bay family is beloved by Tudor’s collectors for its vintage-inspired design traits like its faux-rivet bracelet, gilt inscriptions, anodized aluminum bezel insert, and large crown. However, of the Black Bay’s several variants, what we have here is the eternally popular 41mm Black Bay Heritage ref. 79230B with a blue bezel and black dial, but unlike other variants, its desirability doesn’t end there, this is a limited production variant created for Undefeated, the iconic sneaker store based in Los Angeles and founded in 2002, as denoted by Undefeated’s logo printed at 6 o’clock on its dial and engraved on its caseback. Released in 2020 with only 50 pieces made, this limited edition variant was produced for friends and family only, so not only are they rare, but they seldom ever come to market.

Watch is in overall excellent condition. The steel case shows surface marks and scratches, particularly on the case sides, while the case back retains remnants of a sticker along with well-defined engravings and logo. The bezel remains well defined and the insert remains clean. The dial and hands remain like new. It is fitted with a steel bracelet showing surface marks and scratches to the links and clasp. The bracelet is fitted with 12 links and fits approximately a 7½” wrist. Comes with inner box, warranty card, and two booklets.

Launched as a friends and family release of only 50 individually numbered pieces, this collaborative variant of the Black Bay is seldom, if ever, seen on the open market, and so we are proud to be able to offer this watch at Loupe This.
