Introduction
Tudor's relationship with the chronograph stretches back to 1970, when the brand introduced its first Oysterdate Chronograph, the now-celebrated Homeplate. Over the following decades, Tudor developed a distinctive identity within the world of sports chronographs, from the colourful Monte Carlo models of the 1970s to the substantial automatic Big Blocks that followed. The modern Black Bay Chrono draws upon this heritage, combining elements of Tudor's historic chronographs with contemporary engineering and the unmistakable design language of the Black Bay collection. The updated model introduced in 2021 marked 50 years of Tudor chronograph production, featuring a redesigned case, contrasting panda and reverse-panda dials, and the manufacture calibre MT5813, an automatic column-wheel chronograph movement with a 70-hour power reserve.
This particular ref. 79360N, dating to 2026, is a highly unusual variation produced to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Meta. While retaining the familiar 41mm stainless steel case, black anodised aluminium tachymeter bezel and white panda dial of the standard Black Bay Chrono, it features a specially commissioned corporate dial. The customary depth-rating and chronometer inscriptions above six o'clock have been replaced by the distinctive blue Meta logo, creating a subtle but immediately recognisable difference from the regular production model. The watch also features a special commemorative case back and is fitted with Tudor's five-link stainless steel bracelet. Corporate-signed watches have a long history within Rolex and Tudor collecting, with examples commissioned for companies, organisations and significant occasions developing a particular following among enthusiasts. This Meta anniversary edition continues that tradition, bringing an unusual contemporary corporate connection to one of Tudor's most successful modern chronographs.

THE DIAL
The white panda dial features contrasting black chronograph registers, applied hour markers and Tudor's distinctive Snowflake hour hand. Its defining feature is the blue Meta logo positioned above six o'clock, replacing the usual depth-rating and chronometer inscriptions. This special corporate signature distinguishes the anniversary edition from the standard production Black Bay Chrono.

THE CONSTRUCTION
The 41mm stainless steel case features a fixed tachymeter bezel with a black anodised aluminium insert, screw-down chronograph pushers and a screw-down winding crown. Its satin-brushed and polished surfaces reflect the Black Bay collection's vintage-inspired design. This anniversary edition also features a special commemorative case back and is fitted with Tudor's five-link stainless steel bracelet.

Condition
Watch is in overall near-mint condition. The stainless steel case shows light signs of wear, with some surface scratches to the non-crown side of the case. The dial and hands are like new. The stainless steel bracelet shows some scuffs to the polished sections, particularly on the clasp. The bracelet is fitted with 13 links and fits approximately a 6¾” wrist. There is one spare link included. Comes with inner and outer boxes, warranty card, booklets and hangtag.
Our Perspective
Corporate-signed Tudors occupy an intriguing niche within the collecting world, and this Meta 20th Anniversary Black Bay Chrono is a particularly unusual contemporary example. Its distinctive blue logo and commemorative case back set it apart from the standard panda-dial reference.
