Introduction
Produced by UTI and retailed by Bvlgari, the watch that we have here is a watch that embodies avant-garde modernist aesthetics and design language. Boasting an elongated rectangular case with a strong curve along its 12 to 6 axis in order to allow for comfortable wear. Made from 18kt yellow gold, the case sports a golden brushed dial with Bvlgari’s signature at 5 o’clock and a rather unique inscription pattern whereby the circular chapter ring is only as wide as the dial allows, leaving plenty of space in the northern and southern dial hemispheres, which are then filled with a vertical stripe that split the display into two. Powered by a manual-wind movement and from the 1970s, this timepiece combines a rather unique design language with the names of one of horology’s most daring watchmakers to create a rather unique watch that is without an equal.

THE DIAL
Boasting a champagne golden brushed dial with a miniature chapter ring and long vertical stripes, this example's Bvlgari-branded display combines a rather unique design with one of horology's most famous names to create something truly special.
THE CONSTRUCTION
Made from 18kt yellow gold and boasting a curved profile that allows it to wrap around its wearer's wrist, this example's elongated rectangulr case is a pleasure to wear.

Condition
The watch is in overall excellent condition. The yellow gold case has some scratches and marks, with tiny nicks along the edge as expected of a watch of this vintage. The case back has still-legible hallmarks and stamp. The dial is excellent and the hands are very clean. The watch is fitted with a black alligator strap and a yellow gold buckle, both in excellent condition. Please note that the watch ticks at time of cataloging, but timekeeping is poor and a service is recommended.
Please Note: Due to CITES considerations, if the watch is to be shipped outside of the USA, the exotic skin strap will have to be removed.
Our Perspective
Designed with a modernist aesthetic that is achieved through its minimalist dial and uniquely shaped case, it is no surprise that brands like Bvlgari were happy to retail this rather unique watch.
