Vacheron Constantin has evolved over the years from their position in the shadows of their fellow "Holy Trinity" members, Audemars Piguet and Patek Philippe, to a watchmaker that is revered throughout the entire watchmaking industry. Crucial to this development was their attractive dress watches like the example we have here with its bright blue lapis lazuli dial and beautifully texturized 18kt yellow gold cushion-shaped construction. While most high-end brands typically focus on creating round dress watches, there has always been room for watchmakers to experiment with timepieces that break from that convention in some way, shape or form, and shape is how the example that we have here breaks from that convention. Boasting a perfectly round 31mm x 5mm case, the ref. 7291P breaks from convention with its intricately constructed 18kt yellow gold bracelet complete with engravings that worm and meander their way around the bracelet in a display of craftsmanship and exuberance. Matching that same sense of style, the ref. 7291P also boasts a bright blue lapis lazuli stone dial which features almost nothing that would distract from its intense color besides Vacheron’s inscription at 12 o’clock and the all-important “Swiss” inscription at 6 o’clock. Only 5mm tall thanks to the ‘Extra Plate’ cal. 1003 manual-wind movement, this punchy timepiece is able to stand impressively flat on the wrist, all while carrying its elegant and sophisticated aesthetic.

Watch is in excellent overall condition. Case and bracelet exhibit minor surface wear, with no major scratches or marks visible. The original Lapis Lazuli hard stone dial is in excellent condition. There are no visible hairlines or surface cracks visible. Bracelet fits an approx 6 3/4" wrist.
