Released in the early 1990s and produced until the early 2000s, the Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Perpetual Calendar Chronograph ref. 49005 that we have here combines some facets of modern watchmaking with timeless design choices to create a timepiece that is effortlessly elegant. Boasting a modern-sized 38mm platinum case with a stepped bezel, pump pushers and thin straight lugs, the ref. 49005 wears equally modern on the wrist as it does with a vintage flair. Sporting a silver dial with sunken subdials rich with inscriptions for their complications, the ref. 49005’s dial is a lesson in understated refinement. Featuring a silver dial with four sunken subdials that are tastefully accented by platinum borders, the ref. 49005's display showcases its understated yet luxurious design language in abundance.
THE CONSTRUCTION
Inspired by the mid-century perpetual calendars that came before it, the ref. 49005 boasts a platinum construction with a stepped bezel and pump pushers that feed into its heritage-inspired aesthetic.

Condition
Watch is in excellent overall condition. The platinum case has light scratches on the bezel and case sides. The case back has well-defined engravings and hallmarks, with the circular brushed finish still evident. The dial is pristine, with clean, corrosion-free hands. The watch is fitted with a taupe alligator strap with a platinum Vacheron Constantin buckle in excellent condition. A spare black alligator strap is also included. Please Note: The watch is running and the chronograph functions, but the perpetual calendar mechanism has not been tested.
Please Note: Due to CITES considerations, if the watch is to be shipped outside of the USA, the exotic skin strap will have to be removed.
