Introduction
Launched in 2021 as a collaborative effort between legendary watchmaker Zenith and esteemed watch blog SJX, the El Primero Chronomaster Revival SJX is a timepiece loosely inspired by the disco-era El Primero G383. Reimagined with plenty of lume, the dial is a “disco at night and also in the day,” as SJX puts it. Constructed of sandblasted titanium instead of gold, the Revival takes design inspiration from the G383, but not to the point where it stifled the creative process. Fitted with its new case material and shape, the Revival has taken the G383’s unique Casino dial and modernized it with heavy lume, sharpened inscriptions along the periphery, and, most notably, a new color palette to match its case. A sleek and stealthy monochromatic timepiece, the Revival can light up like a Christmas tree in the dark with its additional black luminescent-infused strap to match the brightness of its dial. A truly transformative timepiece, the Revival shows just how far vintage timepieces can go in the modern industry with today’s technology and stylistic creativity.

THE DIAL
An edgy take on the El Primero's unique history, the Revival uses the same Poker Chip dial design as the G383 with various shades of grey and a generous helping of Super-Luminova to recreate the look of its predecessor.
THE CONSTRUCTION
Encapsulating the modernity of its creation, the Revival sports a jet-black micro-blasted titanium case as opposed to the gold case of its predecessor. Furthermore, it features a conventional lug design, unlike that of the G383, resulting in a wearing experience almost every collector will be familiar with.
THE MOVEMENT
Featuring the legendary El Primero 400 movement, the "Poker Chip" has a lineage that can be traced back to the very first El Primero A386.
